Florida or Bust!

Ok so I haven't been on any good adventures the last several months.  Hence the lack of blog posts.  P90X and Winter blahs have kept me inside.  But I'm looking forward to an upcoming adventure to the Florida Keys soon.  Never been!  I will be sure to post some great pictures and tales of my adventures.

Plan so far:

  • Kayaking and Camping in the undeveloped islands near Little Torch Key on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico (3 days/2 nights.  Don't worry....with a tour company (Burnham Guides) y'all)
  • Biking through National Key Deer Refuge on Big Pine Key
  • Sipping margaritas on the beach at Noon
  • Snorkeling the Caribbean blue waters
  • Scuba Diving in Key Largo with the sea turtles
  • Key West sunsets (need I say more!)
I'd like to camp a few days at Dry Tortugas National Park, which is on Garden Key island 70 miles West of Key West, but I don't think I can squeeze that in this trip.  Primitive camping...pack in gear including food, pack out garbage.  No ice, no concession stand, no shower, no electricity....just beautiful blue waters to snorkeling and white sandy beaches to relax on.  Maybe I need an extra week!

I'm sure Zac Brown Band will be blaring through the stereo the whole trip down....Toes in the water, ass in the sand. Not a worry in the world. A cold beer in my hand. Life is good today. Life is good today.

See y'all after I've been kissed by the sun!
